This afternoon workshop from 1 - 4pm,  subsidized by the Moreton Bay Regional Council, is only $10.  

The workshop will provide you with practical steps, no matter what your starting point, to achieve sustained soil fertility and bounteous crops. Practical activities include will include one or more of : doing a soil Ph test, making liquid fertiliser for the garden, planting a green manure crop, applying a range of soil additives and working with compost.

Relevant for organic gardens of any size from containers on balconies to larger gardens on acreage.

Workshop is held in the beautiful organic gardens of the workshop presenter, Peter Kearney in Draper, 5 minutes from Samford Village,. Participant numbers are limited to 20 people. Peter is a very experienced organic and biodynamic gardener, urban farmer, food garden designer and organic food growing educator. 

This is workshop 2 of a 4 part organic gardening series sponsored by the Council that runs from August to November 2019. The series covers: design tips, soil management, planting techniques and pests/disease management. Each workshop builds on the next to give you a comprehensive introduction to organic gardening.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

My Food Garden requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer.  Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers. For cancellations prior to the 48 hour cut off, email My Food Garden to organise a refund or transfer

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at My Food Garden or organised by My Food Garden must agree to these terms and conditions.


I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by My Food Garden.


I agree to give My Food Garden unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at My Food Garden classes and events or on My Food Garden's premises. (For use of My Food Garden marketing materials).


My Food Garden requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer. 


In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
