This 4 part afternoon course held from August to November 2020 from 1 - 4pm.. Course price for the 4 workshops is normally $140 but with Moreton Bay Regional Council Sponsorship, the total price is $40. 

The workshop program is as follows

  1. Workshop 1  on 8 August 2020 -  Food garden design tips
  2. Workshop 2 on 5 September 2020 - Food garden soil management tips
  3. Workshop 3 is on  17 October 2020 - Food garden planting tips
  4. Workshop 4 is on 21 November 2020 - Food garden pest and disease management

This workshop series will give you a strong platform of knowledge in all the key organic gardening principles and you will see these principles demonstrated over the change of seasons during the workshop program in the food gardens of the workshop presenter. 

The course is in the presenter, Peter Kearney's Draper gardens. Its  only 5 minutes from Samford Village,. Participant numbers are limited to 20 people. Peter is a very experienced organic and biodynamic gardener, urban farmer, food garden designer and organic food growing educator. 

This registration covers all 4 workshops described above.  Each workshop builds on the next to give you a comprehensive introduction to productive food growing with organic methods in our Brisbane sub tropical climate..  Participants receive a comprehensive set of training notes for each workshop.

Its important that workshop registrants recognise COV19 social distancing requirements and if unwell with symptoms of the COV19 virus to not attend workshops whilst having these symptoms.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

My Food Garden requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer.  Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers. For cancellations prior to the 48 hour cut off, email My Food Garden to organise a refund or transfer

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at My Food Garden or organised by My Food Garden must agree to these terms and conditions.


I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by My Food Garden.


I agree to give My Food Garden unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at My Food Garden classes and events or on My Food Garden's premises. (For use of My Food Garden marketing materials).


My Food Garden requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer. 


In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
